Our connection to the ocean has always been at the heart of SP.

But what if that connection could run through the very fabric we wear?

As we develop Tide Line, our first womenswear capsule, we’ve been exploring some fascinating innovation happening around seaweed-based fibres.

Could we use them in Tide Line? Could they give us the softness, movement, comfort and performance we’re looking for?

We don’t know yet. But we’re exploring it!

Tide Line is built around the rhythm of the ocean. Ebb and flow. Active and passive. Movement and stillness.

So there’s something pretty special about the idea that a collection shaped by the ocean could be woven from it too.

She’s a saltwater soul. Equally at home in the city or by the sea, she’s drawn to the ocean, inspired by movement, and always looking for a little more balance in a busy world.

One of the things I love most about places like this is the entrepreneurial spirit. It’s amazing how a conversation in a café or surf shop can turn into something bigger.

We’ve had some great conversations over the past few days about SP and what’s next, which has been super energising.

Now it’s time to swap ideas for waves. Single fin loaded up, heading off-grid to explore a hidden right-hand point break down the coast with one of the kids.
