Induzi Toys

Induzi Toys EDUCATING THE NEXT GENERATION, THAT'S ALL WE CAN DO. It is quite possible that they will never be able to see these animals. Induzi Toys was born.

The next generation of children might only know giraffes, rhinos and penguins through google images and wildlife programmes on tv. When Emma’s daughter Anaïs was born, Katie (her best friend of almost 30 years) searched high and low for a present that felt special, unique and practical in equal measures. Not able to find something that ticked all three boxes, she decided to instead make something.

Fast forward many hours at her sewing machine with the help of her Mum, Katie had created a beautiful, statuesque giraffe made with material bought during a trip to Africa. Emma’s reaction when she opened the package surprised both herself and Katie - she got straight on the phone to her friend and said “quit your job now, you should make giraffes for a living!” At the time Katie was busy facilitating for NGO’s around the world and the idea was parked until her husband Stuart picked it up. As a lifelong lover of animals, he was looking for ways in which he could take action to slow the terrifying rate at which many animals are becoming extinct. Creating and selling toy animals that are on the endangered species list and donating a portion of the profit to carefully selected animal sanctuaries seemed like a perfect idea. It didn’t take him long to get both Emma and Katie on board.
