🌾 Happy Lughnasadh!

Today – 1st August – officially the Celtic Wheel of the Year turns to its first harvest festival of 2026.

But you don’t have to celebrate the high summer in one day or just a couple of days.

We put together a blog of curiosities - the wisdom traditions that have been celebrated on this land and introduce (if you been haven’t already ): corn dollies, bilberry picking, baking the first loaf, Lughnasadh crystals, and ‘Little Harvesters’ read-aloud sections for the children in your life. 🌿

And a treasury collection associated with the season for your home including new Lughnasadh colouring pages for downloading.

We are celebrating some ancient wisdom traditions and would like to share them with you.

Today – 1st August – is Lughnasadh, the first harvest festival of the Celtic Wheel of the Year.

In Irish, British and many European lands, the ready grain at this time, was harvested and celebrated by those dependent on it via summer festival gatherings.
