At Colour Chronicles, we believe the world would be a better place if we all knew the story of how we came to be who we are. We create books that inspire families to enjoy time together, to reflect and connect by capturing their unique realities through thought provoking and playful prompts which are fun to think about and a gift to record. Our books are designed to be fully inclusive and facilita

te the telling of those stories for every type of family structure. No presumptions are made, other than the fact that your family is full of love. We pride ourselves on being the perfect gift. The Baby Book of You records all the wonderful moments and memories from the first year, with thoughtful extras and monthly entries through to first birthday celebrations. The Book of You picks up where that leaves off and is filled out once a year from one to sixteen, capturing memories of childhood. It is a very small business and the brainchild of founder, Ruth Sturdy. Initially inspired when looking (but failing) to find a memory book where her daughter had an input as well, Ruth took her idea to a brilliant designer and together they created 'The Book of You: A record of childhood'. Following the success of the book which was loved for its inclusivity and good design, they created 'The Baby Book of You: A record of your first year', and Colour Chronicles bought it to market. Ruth runs Colour Chronicles from home packing every box herself and is passionate about the connection her books facilitate. She hopes that as her business grows, she will be able to support other families by providing flexible working opportunities for other parents seeking a balance. There is nothing Ruth loves more (children excluded!) than reading the amazing messages she receives from her happy customers and is extremely grateful for your support.

Today’s Mum Club brunch was just wonderful.

There’s something so special about meeting you in person, hearing your thoughts and seeing your reactions to The Book of You straight away.

It’s such a reminder that this little idea I started for my own child is now part of so many other families’ stories too.

Thank you to Sophie and for having me there. Thank you to all the lovely mums for chatting, sharing, and a few baby cuddles… I loved every minute.

There’s something really special about introducing yourself here.

This little space started with one book, one idea, and a feeling I couldn’t shake…
that the everyday moments of childhood deserved to be written down.

Not perfectly.

Not in a way that felt like pressure.

Just enough to remember who they were at each stage.

Now, Colour Chronicles has become something so much bigger than me —
filled with families capturing their own stories, in their own way.
