What an absolute honour and privilege to receive the Freedom of the City of London - as a Feltmaker - with a ceremony at the Guildhall, followed by lunch at the Honourable Artillery Company (HAC).

Having always been inspired by British heritage and craftsmanship, I couldn’t resist adding a rose to the lapel of my couture collars and cuffs, worn with a classic Churchill pinstripe and of course, a hat inspired by the Pearly Kings and Queens.

My passion for ceremony and heritage has been shaped throughout my life by my father, Michael Grant — a past Master, Pikeman (and Musketeer) and member of the HAC — and a constant source of inspiration.

A tremendously special and symbolic day, marking a lifelong connection to heritage and tradition.

Huge thanks to Laura Miller, Clerk to the Chamberlain’s Court, for a brilliantly researched and bespoke ceremony, highlighting fascinating moments in history relating to pioneering women and artisans - and of course to my treasured friends - ‘better-than-a-wedding’ bridesmaids

A true honour to receive the Freedom of the City of London — as a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Feltmakers — with a ceremony at the Guildhall, followed by lunch at the Honourable Artillery Company (HAC).

A truly special and symbolic day, shaped by a lifelong love of British heritage, tradition and craftsmanship.

Huge thanks to Laura Miller, Clerk to the Chamberlain’s Court, for a truly special bespoke ceremony — to my father and inspiration, Michael Grant — and to my loyal friends and comrades for joining us to celebrate in such style and sentiment.
