Thank you to everyone who stopped by our installation, Thinking Chairs at the Design Museum during London Climate Action Week
We built this installation with play, curiosity, and a real desire to talk about circularity, empathy and action with as many different people as possible.
Honestly, the conversations moved me. Visitors from all over the world, and a heatwave outside made the whole thing feel urgent in a way we couldn’t have planned. A few things that came up:
🌞Interactive design gives us a way into difficult subjects, ones that affect all of us as a society globally.
🪱Multispecies design pushes us past human-centred thinking, toward symbiotic, inclusive solutions for all urban life and healthier soil.
🪴Green spaces are vital in keeping our cities cool
The installation is up until the end of the year, so if you missed us last Friday, come find it at the the Design Museum Come sit, look closely, ask questions. We’re exploring whether watching textiles decompose, and sharing space with non-human life, can shift how we think about material use, composting, waste and care.
Made from upcycled materials from the museum’s own workshop ♻️
