Fun Make and Stitch Days for Children (8+) and Young People

Wed 30, Thur 31 July
Tues 5, Wed 6, Thur 7, Tues 12, Wed 13, Thur 14, Tues 19, Wed 20, Thur 21 August
10 am – 4 pm

A day to stitch whatever you fancy: a cool plushie, a bag, a cushion, an apron, fabric jewels, a simple skirt, or perhaps you have another idea? This workshop is suitable for both beginners and super stitchers.

Spring has arrived in the Stitch Club garden and it is nearly the Easter Holidays !

Our Easter Holiday workshops are now booking for children and young people of all ages and abilities (from age 8 years).

These full days offer the opportunity to explore your creativity and stitch whatever you fancy: crazy critters, a bag, a cushion, an apron, fabric jewels, a simple skirt, or perhaps you have another idea?

Our sessions are limited to 8 so we can spend time designing, learning skills and creating and having fun.

Available dates: Wednesday 9, Thursday 10, Wednesday 16, and Thursday 17 April. The sessions run from 10 am - 4 pm.

We are having such a lovely time on our full day holiday workshops. The kids have so many different starting points and ideas. Some of them more challenging than others. All of them are gorgeous.

There are still a couple of spaces left on Mon 19 and Tues 20 August if you want to come along book in at Stitch.club

Sessions run 10:00am - 4:00pm
Single session: £50; 2 session bundle: £95
Bundles available for siblings as well as multiple sessions.

New Stitch Club workshops for adults for June.

** Get Started with your Sewing Machine – Make a Simple Patched Cushion or Tote Bag **

Learn how to use a sewing machine and apply these skills as you plan and sew a simple patched cushion cover or tote bag using your sewing machine or one of ours.

An introduction to how to use your sewing machine – how it works, how to thread it, select stitches, sew a seam and basic trouble-shooting.
By the end of the workshop you will be sufficiently confident to go home and get started on your own machine and/or join our dressmaking workshop – AND you will have a cushion or tote bag to inspire you.

Two dates to choose from : Saturday 1 June 10am – 4pm OR Thursday 6 June 9:30am-3:30pm

New Stitch Club workshops for adults for June.

**Creative Stitches - For Connection, Resilience and Wellbeing … or simply to Create **

Learn embroidery stitches and techniques in a mindful and calming environment. An opportunity to expand and develop a creative play practice using embroidery in its broadest sense.

This series of workshops uses the Stitch Club philosophy of allowing each participant to follow their personal project while stretching and challenging their individual skills. Stitching in a group is a particularly human thing to do and is both grounding and affirming.

You can create samples or work towards a unique piece of 2d or 3d art or a practical item. Either your own idea or follow one of ours. Each Stitch Club is adapted to the interests and skills of the people who come along. It is a small group, so you will have experience new ideas you want to learn, and a few you didn't know you wanted to know all in a safe non-judgemental space.

Sam is a textile artist who loves to stitch to create texture and colourful marks in almost anything and loves to share the fun and wellbeing it generates.

Over the 5 week course you will have the opportunity to learn:
- a variety of hand stitches
- how to use a normal domestic sewing machine for 'free machine' embroidery
- 3d embroidery and embellishments
- simple applique and image transfer
- how to get going on your project
- practical tips

New Stitch Club workshops for adults for June.

** Sew your own Pyjama Trousers **

Create a unique pair of comfy PJ trousers for yourself or to gift. You will learn how to use a dress-making pattern: to understand the markings, work out your size, lay out and cut the pieces and how understand the construction instructions. At the end of the session you will have a lovely pair of PJ bottoms to take home.

This session is designed for those with basic knowledge of how to use a sewing machine.
Sessions are always tailored to the attendees to ensure that you get the most from it and have fun.

Two dates to choose from: Sunday 16 June 10:30am – 4:30pm OR Thursday 20 June 9:30am – 3:30pm

A lovely couple of days making on our holiday Fun Make and Stitch workshops.

The kids chose and designed what they made, helped each other with ideas and went home with the most gorgeous creations. ❤️🧵❤️
