Good morning,

🎂 Another year around the sun for me today.

⭐️ Would you believe despite what my mini me is going through at school, she woke up extra early this morning and cooked me a birthday breakfast! Isn’t that wonderful ❤️

I’m very grateful to the Most High for my blessings, even though I’m not feeling 💯 % elated today🙏🏾 🎉💝

Good Morning Everyone, I hope that you’re all well. I’ve been a bit quiet for a few days 😘

💜 A bit of an emotional post this morning, but this is how I feel at the moment 😔

❤️ Neurodiverse means that someone’s brain works differently from what society considers “typical.” This can include autism, ADHD, dyslexia and other neurological differences. A neurotypical person processes and experiences the world in the way most systems and environments are designed for.

💛 In education, SEN (Special Educational Needs) refers to children/teenagers who need additional support because of a learning difficulty, a social emotional difficulty or a disability which makes it harder for them to learn, compared with most children/teenagers their age.

💚 But behind these definitions are real children/teenagers.

💔As a parent of an autistic teenager who is highly academic with social/emotional difficulties in a mainstream secondary school, it is heartbreaking to watch your child struggle daily in an environment they are not coping in. To see them overwhelmed, emotionally drained and in turmoil while the system around them is barely reactive.

💜 No parent should have to watch their child suffer in a place that is supposed to support them.

🫶🏾 Children with SEN are not asking for special treatment , they are asking for understanding, support and the opportunity to thrive.

💔 Sometimes the hardest thing as a parent is watching your child fight battles they should never have to face alone.

⭐️ I will always be my daughter’s strongest advocate, ensuring she is seen, heard, and valued in a way that respects who she is.
