At Jenerous, Fair Trade is at the heart of everything we do. We’re proud to partner with WFTO-certified suppliers in India who share our commitment to ethical fashion and empowering communities through meaningful work.

Fair Trade is about so much more than paying a fair wage. It helps create safe working conditions, supports women with training and opportunities, protects traditional skills and encourages more sustainable ways of working. It means the people who make our clothes are treated with dignity and respect, not exploited by fast fashion systems.

This year’s World Fair Trade Day is a reminder that every purchase has power. Together we can support a fashion industry that values people over profit.

Today is Giving Tuesday an International day of generosity. As our brand name suggests we're a generous brand and give back all year round on every sale. We give back to The Leprosy Mission charity, who provide tailoring training in India. Their 12 month tailoring programme offers young people affected by Leprosy, like Vinothini (in the photo), the opportunity to fulfil their potential.

This week it's Fashion Revolution Week, a movement born out of the tragedy of the Rana Plaza collapse in Bangladesh, 12 years ago today. Over 1,100 garment workers lost their lives simply by going to work. 💔

It was a wake-up call for the fashion industry, and it's why we at Jenerous are so passionate about doing things differently.

We believe no one should suffer for the clothes we wear. That’s why every piece in our collection is made in Fair Trade factories in India where workers are paid fairly, treated with respect, and work in safe conditions.

We recently had an incredible trip to India, where we visited our WFTO suppliers. These photos and videos are from our time at Auromira Exports in Pondicherry, where the talented team brings our designs to life with so much care and craftsmanship.
