Say It Lad

Say It Lad We're not very active on FB, join us on Instagram Men suffer in silence. We’re done with that. Here, it’s anonymous. No names, no faces. No filters.

Say It Lad is a space built for blokes who bottle it up but know they can’t keep doing that forever. Just real voice notes from real lads talking grief, anger, shame, pressure, rock bottom, and the climb back up. No experts preaching at you. Just raw stories from lads like you. This isn’t therapy. It’s not for show. It’s for the ones who keep it all in and need somewhere to let it out, even if it’s just once. You don’t have to be okay. You just have to say it. Say It Lad.

We're lucky enough that so many lads want to chip in and help us. But when Michael Spinks suggested 'a light run,' we had no idea what he had planned. Forget 5, 10, or even 15k, this lad has just completed a 24-hour endurance event where he covered 106km, yes, ONE HUNDRED AND SIX KMs!!! Have you ever heard anything quite so crazy as that!!

Mick, we are lost for words, and the fact you have raised over £1300 for us as well is something we'll be eternally grateful for.

From us boys at Say It Lad, the casuals, and everyone else involved... thank you.

A massive thank you to everyone using the website to speak up and to those taking the time to listen.

It takes a lot of courage to open up, but the response lately shows how much this is needed. No names, no judgment, just mutual support.

To every single person who has dropped a voice note or listened to someone else, thank you. You are making a real difference.

The season is over.

Yeah, we have the World Cup, but let's be honest, that's always a massive letdown.

In all seriousness, though, that 3 p.m. ritual most of us have on a Saturday is now gone for a few weeks, and it can feel really unsettling. Routines are gone, mates are busy doing something else, and you're left alone with your own thoughts for company.

How are you going to fill that void?

Talk to us..

What is the significance of the number 22?

The number 22 represents the lads who have used our platform to speak up for the very first time. While this number may seem modest, we would have been happy even if it were just one. Some of these boys have held their thoughts in for over a decade!!

If you are reading this and have been papering over the cracks for an while, we want you to consider using Say It Lad. We do not require your personal information or email address, our sole aim is to provide a space for you to speak about anything on your mind.

Remember no one will ever know its you so speak, get it out of your head and onto a voice note. It helps.

TAG YOUR CLUB PLEASE:

We don't buy into awareness weeks. For someone living in their head, it's 24/7, 365 days a year. So as the posters come down and the posts become fewer, we'll keep pushing.

And here's an example: Say It, Lad, and Southampton Football Club and Foundation are the first to install our QR codes directly into the stands, removing all barriers for the lads that normally stay silent and keep everything in. Now we need the other clubs to follow.

If you want to help the lad next to you who, on the surface, seems fine but is secretly battling some demons, tag your club/foundation, even if it's been done already.

This will help someone you know.

We all have 'our boys.' The ones who get sent a million reels a day, the ones you joke about stuff with that you wouldn't say in public, the ones you haven't spoken to in months, or the ones you see every day. Tag them. Share the love.

I'll go first....

Most talk about fitness starts and ends with how you look in the mirror.

We went to Hustle Gym to talk about why that’s only half the story.

Hustle Gym and Say It Lad exist for the same reason. One gives you a place to put in the physical work, and the other gives you a space to clear your head without the noise. Putting them together isn't just a good idea, it's a necessity for any man trying to keep his head above water.

In this video, we sit down to discuss:
Why physical training is the best foundation for mental clarity.

The reality of creating a community where lads can actually speak up.
Why the environment you train in dictates the progress you make outside the gym.

Our partnership and the mission to get more men talking while they train.

Stop overcomplicating it. Train hard, speak up, and look after your mates.

A nice positive share from the legends who run Football Away Days.

Got a lot of respect for these stickers scattered about on the rails at Southampton. They give blokes a safe, anonymous place to talk if they’re struggling with their mental health.

Fair play Saints! 🫡
