Weave Focus: Twill

Recognisable by its diagonal lines, a twill weave is created by passing each thread over and under multiple threads in a staggered pattern.

The result is a cloth that’s softer, more durable, and drapes more fluidly than a plain weave.

It’s one of the most widely used weave structures in tailoring.
