It was a quick four-day stay for this gorgeous vixen.

'Chrissy' was rescued after reports of a mouth injury. On assessment, she was found to be in great condition, though she was missing the tip of her mandible (lower jaw), likely from an old fracture, and several lower teeth, including all her lower incisors and canines. The jaw had fully healed with new tissue, and there were no signs of infection.

Admitted for observations, this 6.2 kg vixen demonstrated that she could drink, chew, and defend herself despite the old injury. This brave girl, who had endured such an injury in the wild, was released back into her wild at the weekend. It’s simply remarkable how resilient foxes are.

It was an honor to meet you, Chrissy! 🧡

'Bindy' has had the most horrendous night and morning. It seems she lost her footing while walking along a fence, slipped, and became trapped, hanging by her back right leg. It must have been incredibly painful and terrifying to be stuck like that for so long. 💔 Her only saving grace was that she could lift the top part of her body onto a nearby fence, taking some of the weight off her leg. By doing so, she likely saved her own life.

Come morning, the householder noticed her plight and contacted us immediately. We dispatched a local rescuer, who arrived promptly and carefully freed Bindy. It was tricky to release her leg, taking over 20 minutes and requiring the rescuer to cut back a large piece of wood while supporting her weight to protect her leg as much as possible. Bindy, exhausted from her night of struggle, offered no resistance once the rescue began.

Brought into our hospital and examined, Bindy had been incredibly fortunate—her swollen, wounded leg had sustained no breaks. Now on a treatment plan, made comfortable and resting, we have every hope for her full recovery.

Thank you to everyone involved in her rescue for your compassion and quick thinking.

Hi I posted a couple days ago about mr fox sleeping in the bed I got him and here he is this evening .
A few of the comments made quite upset me so I want to put this straigh.,
I’m not doing this for me …. He has been coming to my gardn since I moved in 9 weeks ago and is very tame and when I saw him sleeping under the trees all wet and sad I had the idea for the beds.
He is free to come and go as he wants I’m not trapping him or keeping him as a pet.
He often brings his mate
I have no intention of moving for years so he will always have me and my partner.
In such a harsh world all I’m trying to do is give this sweetie some comfort to lay his head in along wth some food.
I hope that clears up some nasty comments about me trying to Make him a pet and how awful I am...

We all love a before-and-after, don’t we?

Let’s kick off our Tuesday with 'Glen’s' first photo with us (under 'Beryl')—taken soon after he was rescued in April, when he was found alone, cold, and underweight—and Glen’s most recent photo from last week, thriving after four weeks back in the wild following four months in our foster system.

What a gorgeous chap! 🧡

Today our newest rescue experienced a flower for the first time in her life. Prior to her arrival she was limited to life in a wire cage, never touching grass or experiencing the natural world. Doomed to pace in a 4x4 cell.

It’s been three weeks since her arrival and she is feeling much more confident, in fact, she’s not shy at all and is very sure of herself despite the fact that she has trouble with her vision. Her eyes have drastically cleared up over the last few days which is a very exciting development. She looks beautiful and it’s evident that she’s feeling much better as well.

She still needs a name and I would love to hear your ideas. 🦋
