🚫 The biggest mistake parents make with sleep?
Following the clock… instead of their baby.

You’ve been told to stick to exact wake windows…
But here’s the truth 👇

Babies aren’t robots.
Their sleep needs change daily based on growth, stimulation, and mood.

💡 When you focus only on the clock:
– You miss early sleepy cues
– You risk overtiredness (hello false starts 😵‍💫)
– Naps become harder, not easier

✨ What actually works?
✔ Watch for cues (rubbing eyes, zoning out, slowing down)
✔ Use a flexible wake window range
✔ Aim for a calm, settled baby — not “perfect timing”

⭐️ Golden rule:
Watch your baby, not the clock.

👉 This is exactly how parents start getting longer naps + better nights.

If your baby keeps waking at 2AM… this is usually why 👀

Most night wakings aren’t actually about hunger —
they’re about a disrupted sleep rhythm.

And this is where so many parents get stuck…

You try to fix it in the middle of the night —
feeding more, rocking longer, doing everything you can —
but the waking keeps happening.

👉 Because the real reset doesn’t start at 2AM.
It starts during the day.

That’s why this gentle reset focuses on 3 simple things:
🌙 Keeping nights calm, dark, and boring
☀️ Anchoring the morning with a consistent wake-up time
🍼 Making sure your baby gets enough feeds and sunlight during the day

These small shifts help your baby’s body clock
learn when to stay asleep — and when to wake.

And once that rhythm clicks…
those random night wakings often start to reduce naturally.

✨ No forcing
✨ No overwhelming changes
✨ Just simple, consistent adjustments

But here’s the part most parents don’t realise…

⚠️ There’s one very common mistake that can undo all of this —
even if you’re doing everything else right.

👉 I’ll show you exactly what it is in Part 2.

The wait is over. 🔓 Your 2:00 AM Reset Plan has been unlocked.
If you saw my last post, you know the "2:00 AM Reality Check." It’s that moment when the perfect routine hits a wall and your baby is wide awake, ready to party. 🧟‍♀️🕰️
The secret to long-term sleep success isn't just surviving the night—it’s knowing how to protect the rest of the week. Here is your 3-step strategy to get back on track:
1️⃣ The Minimal Reset: Keep the room pitch black. Use a "boring," low voice. We want to signal to the brain that 2:00 AM is for sleeping, not socialising. Non-stimulating comfort is key. 🤫
2️⃣ The Daylight Strategy: This is where most parents get stuck! If they were awake for 2 hours at night, DON'T let them sleep in late. Wake them at their normal time to keep their circadian rhythm anchored. Just trim that first wake window by 15-30 mins to prevent them from becoming overtired. ☀️🗓️
3️⃣ Connection & Calories: Use the following day to "fill the tank." Focus on extra natural sunlight, plenty of connection, and full feeds so they don't look for those things at 2 AM tonight. 🍼🤍

THE BIGGEST SLEEP MYTH EXPOSED: "Just keep them awake longer!" ❌🥱
If I had a pound for every time a well-meaning relative or stranger told a tired parent to "just tire them out so they sleep better at night," I’d be retired on a beach by now! 🏖️
It sounds so logical, doesn't it? If we stay up late, we fall into bed exhausted. But babies are NOT tiny adults. Their neurological systems work differently. 🧠✨
The Science of the "Second Wind" 🧬
When a baby stays awake past their natural Wake Window, their body triggers a stress response. It starts producing cortisol and adrenaline.
Essentially, their brain thinks: "Hey, we're still awake for a reason! I better provide some emergency energy to keep us going!" 🏃‍♂️💨
The Result? A "Sleep Trap":
🥊 The Bedtime Battle: You try to put them down, but they fight, arch their back, and scream because they are physically "wired."
🌙 Frequent Wakings: That cortisol stays in their system, making their sleep light and fragmented.
🌅 The 5 AM Party: Because they went to bed overtired, their body is primed to wake up the moment the sun even thinks about rising.
The Solution: Respect the Window! ⏱️
Check out the chart in this Reel! These windows aren't just suggestions; they are based on how much "awake time" a baby’s developing brain can handle before it hits the breaking point.
✅ Newborns (0-6 weeks): Only 45-60 mins! (Barely enough time for a feed and a change!)
✅ 6-9 Months: Usually 2-3 hours.
✅ 18-24 Months: Capping out at 4-6 hours.
LET’S DEBUNK THE NONSENSE! 👇
What is the absolute wildest, most outdated, or "strangest" piece of sleep advice someone has ever given you? 🤡
Drop it in the comments below! Let’s laugh (and cry) at the bad advice together. I’ll be jumping in to explain why some of these myths are so persistent!

If your baby cries every evening…
you’re not doing anything wrong 👀

This phase is called the witching hour, and it’s one of the most common (and exhausting) parts of early baby sleep.

It usually shows up in the late afternoon or evening — and no matter what you try, it can feel like nothing works.

But here’s the truth:

👉 Your baby isn’t being “difficult”
👉 They’re not forming bad habits
👉 And you don’t need to fix everything

This is your baby’s nervous system still learning how to handle the world 🌍

After a full day of feeding, stimulation, and new experiences…
it can all feel like too much by the evening.

That’s why the goal isn’t to “stop the crying completely” —
👉 it’s to support your baby through it calmly

Here’s what actually helps:

✨ Keep evenings quiet and predictable
✨ Start your wind-down earlier than you think
✨ Feed before the crying peaks (cluster feeding is normal)
✨ Use simple, repetitive soothing (hold, rock, white noise)
✨ Avoid trying too many things at once

The biggest mistake I see?

👉 Parents doing everything at once — bouncing, feeding, changing, switching rooms — which actually overstimulates baby even more.

Simple + consistent always works better 💜

And most importantly…
👉 your calm energy matters more than any “technique”

If your baby cries every evening for no clear reason…
this is called the witching hour 👀

And no — you’re not doing anything wrong.

It’s one of the most common (and exhausting) phases, especially in the first few months.

The problem is…
most advice tells you to “just wait it out” — but there are actually ways to make it easier.

👉 In my next post, I’ll show you exactly how to calm it (gently + realistically)

If your baby is awake all night… they is is probably why 😳

Your baby isn’t being difficult.
They just don’t know the difference between day and night yet.

And without guidance, their body clock flips 😵‍💫
👉 sleepy all day
👉 wide awake at night
👉 frequent night wakings

The fix is simple (but consistency is everything):

☀️ Bright, active, well-fed days
🌙 Dark, calm, quiet nights

No stimulation. No play. Just feed → back to sleep.

Do this for a few days and you’ll start to see a shift 👀

💡 This is the foundation of better sleep later on.
