To be fair to VIAT, here is the information about the obligatory primary school blazers:
For the academic year starting September 2026:
Year 6 pupils (current Year 5 pupils) will not be expected to wear a blazer
All other Key Stage 2 pupils (current Years 2, 3 and 4) will be provided with a blazer, fully funded by the Trust*
The Trust will also fund blazers for the Year 2 cohort in 2027 and 2028 (children who will be in Year R and Year 1 in September 2026)*
The Trust will fund all Key Stage 2 ties for pupils who choose to wear a collared white shirt rather than a open neck (revere) blouse
Any families experiencing difficulty in meeting uniform costs are welcome to speak to the school office in confidence, and we will be happy to provide assistance

*When children outgrow their blazers, we would ask that they are passed to siblings or donated to the school’s second-hand uniform store

Now that school uniform policies are in place for September, we’d be very interested in your view, if you are an Eastborough parent (or any other VIAT primary school) of the requirement for primary children to wear blazers. DM if you don’t want to comment publicly,

The next Uniform Bank will take place on Tuesday 2nd June from 8.15 to 9.30am

As always we’ll be at St Paul’s Hall, Boxley Road and, as always, everything is free to take.
Don’t forget that uniform rules are changing but we are still holding legacy items for students in the older years.
