Made by Widge Hi there and welcome to my little corner of craftiness. I love to sew and try all kinds of crafts.

My name is Claire, I live in March, Cambridgeshire with my long suffering husband Math and our 2 kids, James and Ellie and any number of animals. I love all things crafty but especially love sewing and working with paper. As well as making pretty things and looking after the family I also work in the NHS so could really do with a few more hours in the day if anyone can manage that please. This is

a new venture for me as usually all the things I make I give straight to friends and family as gifts so please bare with me while I make lots of things to put on here for you all to see. If there is something particular you would like or are looking for then please do not hesitate to get in touch and I will do my best to help.

I am very sorry I have been silent for most of this year, it's been a proper s**t one and I'm writing it off completely. I hadn't made a single thing since march until the end of last week when I fumbled out a handful of little snowflakes. For anyone who knows me, they know it's completely unlike me to be so uncreative for such a prolonged period of time. Because of my lack of creativity I've pulled out of the shop so my things are no longer in Concessions in Chatteris. If there is something particular you are looking for get in touch and I will tell you very honestly if I have it in me right now to make it.
I wish everyone a magical Christmas and a happy and healthy new year. Let's hope 2025 makes all our dreams come true. 🎄🎅🥂🥳🎉 ###

Once again my old faithful hand crank is out as my modern machine can't handle this fabric, Ethel however has no problem whatsoever with it. She never lets me down, I wish my Grandma could see how much I use her beautiful sewing machine. They really don't make them like this anymore.

Need a last minute gift? My very clever husband has made these hand turned pens and seam rippers. The pens are a lovely weight, they twist to reveal the pen tip and take a parker style refill. The seam rippers have a screw tip that is reversible to put the blade away. The pens are £20 each and the seam rippers are £10 each.
