My piggy project🐷
Refusing our waste and consumption is a massive part of how we can make a difference. Upcycling ♻️is a great way to reduce your waste and personalise you belongings!
When I cleaned out my room I saw my sad little piggy bank with a sun bleached bum and scratched ear. I thought why not paint it to fit with my new room and make it look more ‘me’. The new piggy is cute and sparkly, ✨perfect for my new room and saved me going to buy little home decor bits that I don’t need!

PAPER STRAWS ♻️

It wasn’t that long ago, when locals found a tortoise on the coast of Costa Rico with a 10cm straw up his nose. 🐢The extraction took 10minutes but was excruciatingly painful for the tortoise.

Now it’s true that straws aren’t the largest household waste in the ocean, 🌊although it takes about 1/5th. The worst thing is the shape of the tube being so slim and sharp which makes it so dangerous for wildlife.

Approximately 71% of birds and 30% of turtles contain pieces of plastic in their esophagus of various sizes.

Since reading around the subject and taking into account such shocking facts, I think swapping to paper straws within a house hold is such a small and easy change that will have such a big impact on marine worldwide. 🌍

Today I spent the day de-cluttering and rearranging my room! Its been a task but is so worth it to see how bright and spacious it feels now, can’t wait to get in bed and watch a movie later🍿💖 @ Newmarket, Suffolk, United Kingdom
