Meet Linda

Linda is part of Countrystyle - a quiet, heartfelt collection inspired by long walks, fun afternoons and the kind of countryside memories that stay with you.

This pattern is named after someone very special to me.
It’s a small tribute to kindness, warmth and the simple joy found in nature - butter-yellow flowers, gentle stripes, and that feeling of time slowing down outdoors.

A reminder to notice the details.
To hold onto the good moments.
And to carry a little sunshine with you, wherever it lands.

Judy 🌼
A playful, repeat floral surface pattern designed for kidswear, stationery and homeware products.

Judy is all about easy-going florals with a modern, commercial feel — soft colour pairings, a balanced repeat and just enough detail to work beautifully across multiple product categories.

This pattern has been developed with product developers and brands in mind, making it ideal for:

• children’s fashion
• nursery and baby products
• gift wrap and stationery
• home accessories

Available for licensing or bespoke colour development, Judy can be adapted to suit seasonal collections or brand-specific palettes.

If you’re a brand or product developer looking for original surface pattern design that’s ready to slot into your next collection, this one’s ready to go.

✨Help me decide!✨

I’ve been working on a few new designs in the studio, and I can’t decide which one should grow into a full collection.

So I’d love your thoughts — which one’s your favourite? 🍅🌸🍓

1️⃣ Florals on Teal
2️⃣ Summer Sketches
3️⃣ Tomatoes

Drop your vote in the comments and tell me which pattern you’d love to see turned into a full range (think coordinating prints, spot motifs, and colourways!). 💬

🌼 Meet Martha

Still one of my most loved designs — and by far my most viewed pattern on Pinterest! ✨

Martha is a joyful, daisy-filled print that captures everything I love about spring meadows and gentle optimism. Designed with soft, wearable colourways that translate beautifully across kidswear, homeware and stationery - she’s a true all-rounder.

Available for license or purchase - get in touch if you’d like to bring a little Martha magic to your next collection 💛

There are so many things I love about being a freelance designer - but these are definitely up there 💛

Quiet mornings in my countryside studio, walks on my doorstep, and the freedom to create what I want, when I want.

Every collection starts here - calm space, green tea nearby, and usually a mess of colour swatches and pattern samples.

Feeling very grateful for this little creative life I’ve built 🌿

Meet Betty 🌿

Named after my grandmother, who adored roses and always had them growing in her garden.
This design feels like a little nod to her - classic, calm, and full of charm!

The name was suggested by Hannah (thank you!) and it couldn’t be more perfect.

A timeless floral for those who love a touch of nostalgia in their prints 🌸

Next up in my AI for Small Design Studios series: Perplexity.

If you haven’t used it yet, it’s basically a smarter way to research.
It finds accurate, up-to-date information fast; without the endless scrolling through search results.

In my studio, I use it to:
✨ look up trends
✨ research blog topics
✨ check facts for posts and articles
✨ get quick overviews of new ideas I want to learn about

It’s been a huge time-saver, especially when I’m juggling design work, marketing, and admin (we have to do it ALL in a small studio!)

But I only ever use it for research: never for creating.
That part still happens in my sketchbook and my iPad, surrounded by colour swatches, paper, multiple cups of green tea ☕️ and my hairy side-kick Barney

Perplexity keeps me organised and informed, so I can stay focused on what actually matters - designing.

Save this for when you need a quick research shortcut, and follow along for the next post in my AI for Small Design Studios series.

So….... I realised something this week 🙈

I’ve been so deep in website updates, shoots, and all things Ivy Lemon that I completely forgot one very important thing - I never actually introduced Dora to the world!

She’s been sitting quietly in my Pattern Library, waiting for her moment… and honestly, she deserves it.

Dora is one of those designs that just works. She's commercial, adaptable, and instantly uplifting.

She’s playful enough for kidswear, pretty enough for stationery, and versatile enough for homeware.

Bold AND soft she’s the kind of print that feels familiar and fresh all at once - which is probably why she’s become such a studio favourite. 🌼

Sometimes the busiest seasons make you forget to share the patterns you've been creating! So here she is, finally getting the spotlight she deserves.

P.S can someone please confirm if hashtags are DEAD? I've no idea if I should still be using them or not!
