👋🏻Hello one and all. This week has been so beautiful in terms of our weather, crisp mornings with sunny days.

🍂Autumn is my favourite time of the year it has to be said. I love to be wrapped up in my thermal top, (those who know me well know how much I love thermals) and feel the sun on my face - not too hot - not too cold - perfect!!

💙The first Christmas stocking of 2025 has been completed and sent to the recipient a new baby boy welcomed into a family in time for his first Christmas. It always feel such a privilege to make something that will be used year after year, I never tire of it. I feel so proud of each of my creations and knowing I am using such fine fabrics to create something that is timeless and will stand the test of time.

🌟 I have had a quite a few orders in now that will probably see me into November so please do get in touch if you are looking for that unique touch to add to your Christmas traditions or maybe even to start a new tradition.

It’s been a long time since I contributed anything to social media and I feel the landscape has changed immensely. I have not felt up to posting or being creative over the past year. The last year in particular was a very challenging time for me and my family. Our lovely Mum wasn’t well and hadn’t really been well for the past 8 years fighting one cancer or another. It was very very hard to watch someone you love in the grips of this terrible disease. Mum was incredible and so strong throughout and I don’t think I heard her moan once about what she went through she just approached each stage with a smile on her face and most crucial of all - Hope! Over the past 8 years when she was hit with one scare after another and all seemed dark and scary along with all the emotions that came with it Mum always had Hope.

I’ll never forget the day she was going to be flown to Glasgow for one of the many MRI’s she had to endure and being so worried then all of a sudden this beautiful rainbow appeared over my house and at that moment I believed she would beat it. She did beat lung cancer and was signed off from all doctors but 4 years later we had the crushing blow that the lung cancer had spread to her brain. This was in 2020 during the Covid pandemic and was truly an awful time. We knew our time on this earth with our precious warrior Mama was limited. Sadly our beautiful Mum passed away in January this year surrounded by so much love with all of her family, sisters, brother and extended family by her bedside. She was until the end fiercely independent and her love for her family was so strong. This has been so hard to write and I have avoided it for quite some time because I knew I’d cry. I am writing this with tears rolling down my cheeks remembering my Mum. She was so loved and I can still feel her love wrapped around me like a protective armour. I have a very different perspective of the world now, going through something like this changes you. I feel ready to start creating again and hope to kick off with 2025 Christmas stockings so drop me a line if you are interested and we can chat. As always lots of love, Marianne.x

I have had a good few orders for initial wall flags lately which has been so lovely so thank you for those.

Currently juggling my other business and childcare and trying to find wee pockets of crafting and making to keep me sane - it really does help especially when I am surrounded by two of the best fabrics in the business.

This flag is a lovely jade green Harris Tweed®️paired with a Liberty initial in a colourful ships pattern.

I will be heading off up to Lewis next weekend to visit Mum and Dad for the week and need to try and resist a trip to the Harris Tweed shop 🙈

Bobbin & Bear started with the initial cushions almost 7 years ago - I can’t believe it’s been that long! I have such a soft spot for these cushions and have been lucky enough to create so many gorgeous combinations over the years.

⭐️Exciting news ⭐️ I am so thrilled to share some of the images I have had taken of my Bobbin & Bear products.

This has been a long process for me to have enough items made to hand to be able to give to someone to photograph but it has all been worth it.

The wonderful Abi from was super to work with and I love how she captured my products, the layout, the soft light - it’s exactly how I wanted it. I would highly recommend Abi for anyone looking to have their products photographed.

🐣Hooray it’s the Easter weekend🐣

Hope it’s a relaxing one filled with quality time for you.

Weekend is here 👏🏻

I have enjoyed the last two weekends as we have had no plans and we have been chilling at home pottering. My husband outside in the garden doing some landscaping and me inside cooking, getting organised for the week ahead and doing what I love best and getting a bit of sewing in when I can.

I love to cook and like to have some soup made for our lunch for the next week as it helps me feel organised and in between the caramel eggs that I am actually getting some nutrients into my body🙈

Also sharing a beauty of a cushion that was made to welcome a little girl into the world. A lovely bluey/green Harris Tweed paired with classic Betsy by Liberty.
