Remember the roman blind made last year from a pair of curtains? This was made from the remaining fabric. A wonderful overnight bag, with inner pocket and detachable pouch for essentials such as jewelry etc. I even used the original curtain blackout lining as an interlining for the bag, in order to give some extra weight and body. I'm going to have to make one for myself now.
If you have any fabric remnants that you totally adore and you don't know what to do with them, then let me give you an idea of what can be made!

New eyelet headed curtains for a customer who supplied the fabric and lining that were purchased from John Lewis.

Evening dress shortened for a customer who needed it super fast. Two layers, outer layer is chiffon, lining is jersey, thus requiring 2 different approaches to the hems.

And finally the remaining pocket, lining replaced and snagged threads woven back, pocket stitched back to the coat.

The first pocket was far worse on the outside. There was even a hole at the edge.

Sleeve lining on vintage coat. Torn lining suffering from a bad repair that caused even more pulling and tearing of the lining.

Had to patch and rebuild worst areas and stitch the new lining back in place.

Badly snagged tweed pocket on a vintage coat and pocket lining badly torn.

All threads carefully woven back into the tweed and a new lining made before reattaching to the coat.

Wish I'd remembered to take a picture before I started. It was a bit of a wreck.. ....

Another pair of socks completed. This time in a self patterning yarn designed by Kaffe Fassett. Heel in a plain toning colour by West Yorkshire Spinners .

The owner of this linen dress had decided that the dress did not suit her after all. There was enough fabric in the skirt to make a top. The design of the top was a copy of another top that the customer owned and loved. The purple linen binding and buttons were from my own stash. She loves the top.

Recent commission to repurpose curtains from the previous house of the customers. One pair was remade into a bespoke roman blind so that the other pair of living room curtains has a partner blind over the little window, thus allowing the customers to keep the fabric that they loved.
