We are unable to dispose of leather. But we do live in throw away culture. It is gut wrenching. We do not seem to give a second thought to where our possessions and clothing come from.
We do not consider where they end up.
Every bin collecting day, people dispose of perfectly functioning furniture. Just because they can. Or because they've become accustomed to acquiring something new for .........ah reasons that make no sense to me.
I reconstruct the leather after removing it from the couch frame. I make all sorts of accessories and use bits for appliqué.
