Coffee Pod Creations Jewellery

Coffee Pod Creations Jewellery If you're looking for sustainable and stylish jewellery & accessories, you've come to the right place This got me thinking.

Coffee Pod Creations started three years ago when I became concerned about the millions of coffee pods which are discarded and end up in landfill. Culturally, the coffee capsule is a symbol of a busy lifestyle. My work represents the opposite: the slowing down and appreciating the little things. It is a conscious move towards a more sustainable jewellery practice. Although I’ve worked with glass a

nd taken silversmith workshops, I prefer using recycled materials. It all started when I saw a simple pendant, from Italy, which was made out of coffee pods. I recycled some of my friend’s pods and began to experiment with new designs and ideas. I came up with a triple pod pendant and a single pod design and incorporated beads into the necklaces. I extended my range into creating brooches and earrings. My work doesn’t involved machinery and is not mass produced. Each item is handmade using aluminium coffee pods to create the designs. I collect, clean and transform the pods into jewellery using a special technique which I have developed. There are many parts to the process and it takes a long time. However I love sharing my work with others and I feel passionately about why I do it. When you buy an item from Coffee Pod Creations you are buying a unique gift either for yourself or someone else.

This is my favourite shop in Petersfield 🙌
Not just because you'll find my jewellery there... But because I'm surrounded by an incredible collection of talented makers and artists 👩‍🎨

Not only does it have an amazing selection of one-off items, gifts and original art but they have a DIY craft section where you can sit with a cup of tea, biscuit and make ✂️ (I've learnt how to embroider!)

A huge thanks to Sarah, Sarah-Jane and George, who make it all happen and have created such a supportive community for local makers ✨

Spot the difference 👀 I've been on a mission to find a better, more eco-friendly supplier for my earring cards. These ones are slightly smaller and fatter than my old ones. What do you think? Does size matter?

Who is Coffee Pod Creations' jewellery for?
✨It’s for the person who likes colour but doesn’t want heavy statement pieces weighing them down.
✨It’s for someone who enjoys wearing something a little different and being asked, “Where did you get those?”
✨It’s for the friend who chooses gifts carefully and wants there to be a story behind what they give.
✨It’s for people who care about thoughtful design. Who like the idea that something once discarded can become something worn and loved.
✨It’s also for the person who doesn’t wear much jewellery at all, but wants one pair that feels easy, lightweight and effortless.

🥰My pieces aren’t mass produced. They’re made in small batches or to order, so they suit people who like knowing their jewellery hasn’t come off a conveyor belt.

❤If you wear my jewellery, I’d love to know — what made you choose it?

And if you don’t yet, what would make it feel like it was made for you?

Why do I make what I make?
Honestly, it just happened.
A friend gave me some pods and I started experimenting with coffee pods and made a few pieces for myself. Then something unexpected happened. Strangers began stopping me to comment on my jewellery. On the tube. In the doctor’s surgery. Even at the pub.
They didn’t just ask where it was from. They asked if they could buy it.
So I kept making.
Friends asked for different colours. Someone wanted a smaller pair. Someone else wanted a necklace to match. Each request pushed me to try something new. Bit by bit, what began as a hobby grew into something much bigger.
I continue because I genuinely love the process of upcycling aluminium. I love looking at a pile of discarded pods and imagining what they could become. I love testing new shapes and coming up with ideas that surprise people.
But more than anything, I love spotting someone wearing my jewellery out in the world. Or hearing that a pair was bought as a gift and is now someone’s favourite piece.
That feeling never really gets old.
And the story is still unfolding.
If you own one of my pieces, I’d love to know where you were when you first wore it.

Why do I make? ✂️ Because I enjoy the challenge of seeing potential where others see waste. A used coffee pod might look like rubbish, but to me there's possibility to make something that can be worn and enjoued.

It's creativity, problem-solving and sustainability all wrapped into one small piece of jewellery ✨

This is what I make 💚
I design and handcraft jewellery from used aluminium coffee pods.
Each piece is cut, shaped and assembled by me in my home studio. What starts as something destined for the bin becomes lightweight, colourful earrings and necklaces designed to be worn every day.
Swipe through to see different ranges — bold brights, subtle metallics, simple shapes and layered designs. Every colour you see began its life as a pod.

My jewellery is:
• Lightweight
• Comfortable to wear
• Made in small batches or to order
• Created from upcycled materials
• Designed to be affordable and accessible
There’s no mass production. Just me experimenting over the years to get the designs just right.

If you’re new here, which style do you like?
And if you’ve been around a while — do you have a favourite range?

Today’s prompt is Trial and Error, which feels very appropriate when designing jewellery from coffee pods ✂

Every piece of jewellery I make is an original design. I enjoy experimenting and discovering new ways to shape and combine the aluminium rather than copying what someone else has done.

At some point I decided I wanted to make hearts from the coffee pods. I’m not entirely sure what inspired it, but I started trying. ❤

First question: where should the hole go so it hangs properly?
In the middle looked strange and didn’t hang right.
Just one heart hanging and an earring hook looked a little plain.
So I added a faux pearl from my bead stash.
I did sell these, but I still felt the design could be improved.

After lots more experimenting, I eventually created the big and small hearts . I really like the way you can mix and match the colours, and that they’re made completely from aluminium coffee pods. www.coffeepodcreations.com/product-page/made-to-order-heart-earrings

I also had a go at making smaller heart pendants. Is this a design that works, or one that could still evolve? ❤️
