"Ignore male egos. Believe in yourself."
That's the advice Adele Pennington gave at the Mountain Medicine World Congress last month. We had the privilege of sponsoring her talk, and we wrote it up so more women could hear her message 👏
Adele has guided *Everest* twice. She's climbed six 8,000m peaks. She's one of very few British Winter Mountaineering and Climbing Instructors. And she's done all of it as a 5-foot-nothing woman in a very male-dominated world 💪

But beyond the brilliant anecdotes, she said something that really stuck with us: men seem to have an inbuilt confidence, like self-doubt was never installed. As women, we tend to overthink, question ourselves, doubt our competence. What if we just... didn't? 🤷♀️Not in an egotistical way - just quiet confidence that our skills, experience, and resilience are enough.
