Beautiful summer dress fit for all the occasions summer brings!

The dress features adjustable tie straps and an elasticated back. Fully lined and made using the most gorgeous 100% cotton fabric 💕

Turning back time to a commission for a 1970’s costume party!
Do you believe there is a more iconic fashion girly for this era?

For the look I created a cropped bralette with long fringe sleeves and beading detail for the fastening. The fabric was recycled from a bed sheet (see mages).

The pink look also shown is a custom design from Shelby Mary the label 💖

Each stitch, bead and sequin of this commission has been sewn by me by hand.

The design includes appliqué, beading and embroidery stitches such as backstitch, french knots and couching. The piece hangs in a 8 inch flexible wood grain effect embroidery hoop.

The design of the embroidery piece takes reference from Disney’s Mary Poppins.

Hello Shelby Mary from 2022 🌸

Using the new year to take a look back and reflect on past achievements.
One from 2022 was my final collection being selected to be displayed at the Fashion and Textile design graduate showcase.

My portfolio, sketchbook, textiles samples, toiles and final garments were on display and modelled during the showcase.

The main techniques used for the textiles of the collection is screen printing, hand and machine embroidery. Samples created during the design process of these are seen above.
