✨ What a weekend! ✨

A little while back, I booked myself onto something I’d been so looking forward to — and this weekend I finally got to experience it!

I’ve just had the most amazing weekend at vanillaink_cic in Glasgow, learning the beautiful art of working with Mitsuro Hikime.

It was such a wonderful opportunity to learn, experiment and get completely absorbed in the process. There’s something so special about learning a new technique and seeing how it can bring new ideas and possibilities to my jewellery making. 🤍

And what makes a workshop even better? Learning from the fabulous Lorna lornaromanenghijewellery!

Thank you for sharing your knowledge, skills and enthusiasm — I’ve come away feeling inspired and excited to put what I’ve learned into my own work at Silver Meadow Studio. ✨

✨ Feeling very lucky to be part of this creative community ✨

We feel so lucky to be part of the creative community at North West Jewellery School. There’s something really special about being surrounded by people who are all passionate about making, learning and creating. 💕

The school and the wider community are such a warm, welcoming and supportive bunch, and we’re genuinely grateful to be part of it.

A very special mention has to go to our tutor Eleanor, who is incredibly supportive, encouraging and endlessly patient with us! ❤️ Having someone who is willing to share their knowledge, guide us through the tricky bits and encourage us to keep pushing ourselves is something we really appreciate.

For us, jewellery making is all about lifelong learning. There’s always another technique to learn, a skill to sharpen or a new challenge to take on. We want to keep learning, keep improving and keep pushing ourselves to be the best jewellers we can be. 🔨✨

Here’s to learning, creating, making mistakes, trying again and enjoying every step along the way! ❤️

✨ A little throwback while we’re busy behind the scenes… ✨

We’re spending this week tucked away working on some lovely commission pieces, so unfortunately we don’t have any new jewellery photos to share with you just yet!

Instead, here’s a little look back at this beautiful rose quartz pendant that Kacey made last year. 💕 I absolutely loved the rose quartz set she made, and looking at this again has definitely got me thinking… I think we need to make some more! 🌸

Rose quartz is such a beautiful stone for jewellery and would make a really special handmade Christmas gift for someone you love. 🎄🎁
