ith disabilities the opportunity to take part in a physical activity. Kes-Vir is a swimwear range designed by Daksha Mistry for women, men and children of all ages. Daksha is also the founder of Kes-Vir and has educated herself to understand the pain points wearers with incontinence or disabilities face. The swimwear range, of over 16 pieces is not only a practical solution for those with bladder and bowel control issues, but also designed to make you feel confident, whilst looking great. Over the years fabrics have been meticulously sourced to ensure the best possible fit as well as environmentally friendly. Trims have also been tried and tested to ensure that the range is fully accessible for everyone to feel inclusive. Daksha also works closely with special needs schools and charities. These relationships have allowed her to understand the freedom her range gives with disabilities and incontinence. There are endless benefits to water activities and Kes-Vir allows children and adults to participate in water fun like everyone else. The Kes-Vir range had become widely acknowledged within the incontinence and disability industry as an innovator. Industry awards include:

Did you know your council’s SEND Local Offer can be a really useful place to start when looking for support for your child?

Every local authority has one, and it should include information about services, activities, clubs, education support, short breaks, health services and help for children and young people with additional needs.

For disabled children and children with SEND, it can also be a helpful way to find local swimming opportunities, accessible activities and support groups near you.

Try searching:
“Your council name SEND Local Offer swimming”

It is not always easy to know what help is out there, so this can be a good first step for parent carers looking for local support.
