There was a moment, years ago, carrying rails through London, balancing fittings, fabric books and a baby… wondering if all the hard work would ever truly click.
I started this business with £500 of maternity pay and a vision that menswear could feel different. More thoughtful. More creative. More personal. Less intimidating. Less “stiff Savile Row” and more about helping men feel confident, comfortable and completely themselves.
This week, seeing my story in The Times felt incredibly surreal.
Not because of the headline.
But because of what it represents.
The years behind the scenes.
The risks.
The doubts.
The fittings.
The failures.
The growth.
The clients who trusted me.
The team helping bring the vision to life.
And the belief that wardrobes should do more than just look good… they should elevate your life.
To everyone who has supported Alexandra Wood over the years, thank you. Truly.
And to anyone building something from nothing right now… keep going. The quiet years matter more than you think.
Savile Row tailoring, reimagined for modern successful men.
And we’re only just getting started.
