I know this isn't sock related but this is Eggatha, she's an emotional support chicken 🐔 🤣🤣 I made her for my dad who has dementia. He was made up with her when I showed her to him before she was stuffed but he hasn't seen her since. He'll be over the moon when he sees her 🥰❤️ Next, I'm making him a cat! 😀

Happy Wednesday everybody. We're half way through the week and it's all down hill from here! 😊💪

Here's the Harry Potter, Gryffindor themed socks I made for my husband for his 50th birthday back in July. He said he wanted them for when the weather started to get colder. Well, he had them on for the first time yesterday and he said he was surprised at how comfortable they felt whilst wearing them. He thought they'd be thick and too warm due to them being made of wool. He's since asked me to make him some more. I think I have a convert on my hands 😄 In my opinion hand made socks are so comfortable to wear. They're warm in the cold weather and cool when it's not so cold outside. They're also made to fit individually and not mass produced.

I'm really happy knowing he's happy with his Gryffindor themed socks. I just wish that I had more hands so I could knit many more pairs at a faster pace. 😆

Here's what I've been knitting lately. I'm currently working on four projects but I can only show you two because the other two projects are Christmas presents. I've currently made one sock for Scott in dark grey with a green stripe. Obviously I've still got the other sock to make.

I also bought 12 balls of blue ombre yarn from Aldi. It was only £1.39 a ball (I think) and it's mostly acrylic with a small amount of wool so it should be hard-wearing. I have decided to make a garter stitch throw for the living room. I've no idea how many stitches are on the needle because I didn't count, I just kept on adding stitches so this throw will be massive when it's finished. Anyway see pics below.

My latest pair of socks. It's taken a little while to complete this pair because I'm working on another 2 projects. One project is a pair of socks for my son and the other is a Christmas present for someone. Anyway, these socks would be perfect for Pride due to the colours, they're lovely and bright but the light in the photos is not doing them justice.
Yarn is King Cole Zig Zag 4 ply

Yarn is Head over Heels, All Stars by Stylecraft in the shade 3917 Saltaire, Dye 621364.
75% Superwash Wool and 25% Nylon.
