❤️ Business Update ❤️
After a very difficult year personally and professionally, I wanted to share an update about the future of the business.
Bijou Baby Safety Ltd will be closing, and I’ll now be moving forward independently under a new business, Bijou Car Seats.
This has not been an easy decision at all. Pregnancy complications and being very unwell for a large part of the last year had a much bigger impact on the business than I ever expected, and unfortunately there is very little support available for small business owners trying to navigate that reality while continuing to run a business.
Over time, it became clear that the way things were operating simply wasn’t allowing me to provide the level of service, communication and support that I’ve always wanted customers to receive.
So instead of trying to continue stretching things too far, I’ve made the decision to go back to basics — back to what I know best, and back to the part of the business I’m most passionate about: car seat safety, fitting support and helping families find the right setup for them.
Bijou Car Seats will now operate on an appointment-only basis from our new location at Boxx Storage Southampton, SO19 9LZ.
Appointments are still available to book, and all existing customers will continue to receive fitting and installation support going forward ❤️
During this transition period:
➡️ Remaining stock from Bijou Baby Safety Ltd will continue to be sold through the current website
➡️ New car seat orders through Bijou Car Seats can currently be arranged via messages and phone/email while everything is being moved across
➡️ The website will be rebranded and transitioned over fully in due course
Thank you so much to every single person who has supported me over the years, whether you’ve bought from me, recommended me, trusted me with your children’s safety, or simply supported the business from afar. It genuinely means more than I can put into words.
This isn’t the ending I originally imagined, but I truly hope it’s the beginning of something simpler, stronger, and more focused.
While this year has been incredibly difficult at times, it’s also brought the most wonderful addition to our family, and despite everything we feel very lucky to now be a family of four 🥰
And finally, thank you to all of the brands and suppliers who have supported both me and the business through such a difficult year, your kindness, patience and understanding has genuinely meant more than you know
