🏀 THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT – EASTER SUPERDRAW 🏀

On behalf of Grassroots Basketball CIC, we want to say a huge thank you to all of our clubs, players, parents, coaches and supporters for getting behind our Easter Superdraw campaign in partnership with Spond

The response across the network has been fantastic. Every share, every message sent, and every conversation started helps us move closer to our goal of strengthening and expanding grassroots basketball in our communities.

Funds raised will directly support:

• Coach education and qualifications
• Investment in electronic scoring equipment
• Expanding league places to additional clubs
• Growing girls’ team opportunities
• Marketing and essential running costs
• Keeping basketball accessible and inclusive for all

This isn’t just about fundraising — it’s about building a stronger, more diverse and sustainable league structure for next season and beyond.

🏀 Her World, Her Rules – Girls’ Basketball Tournament (South) 💜
Whiteley Warriors Basketball CIC have been selected to host a Her World, Her Rules girls’ tournament in the South, supported by Basketball England 🎉

Her World, Her Rules is a national initiative designed to inspire, empower and support girls in basketball - creating positive, fun and inclusive experiences on and off the court.

👧 Ages: U12s – U16s
📍 Location: Deer Park Secondary School (hosted by Whiteley Warriors)
💷 Cost: FREE to register
🎯 Who’s it for: New and existing players - all abilities welcome

Another success from our Grace Project which was funded by Sport England. The project was aimed at empowering and educating girls and women to become role models in the sport for future generations. We provided courses for L2 referees and L2 coaches as well as ongoing mentoring and support to help our candidates get to the finish line.
Issy Potter has just completed her award and received her L2 Referee qualification from Basketball England. Her tutor said after her final sign off game “Issy had a great final game with me - she is gonna be great” which is high praise indeed.
The YBL are thankful that we have been able to do things like this to benefit the basketball community.

Drew has played at the highest level in England and brings elite experience, knowledge, and energy to every session.

That’s where Alex Byrne comes in – camp favourite, club hero, and someone the kids absolutely love learning from.

Alex will be in across the week bringing intensity, fun, and top-level skill work.

3️⃣ Want to be coached by an award-winning coach?

Camp is led by Gareth Birkett –

Gareth will be running the camp and overseeing everything to make sure sessions are high quality, well organised, and most importantly… that everyone is having loads of fun.

📅 How the Week Works (This is the best bit)
🟢 Monday & Tuesday – Intro & Skill Days
These are your fresh legs days.
Perfect if:

You’ve never been to camp before
You want to hit the ground running
You want to learn new moves, shots, and skills
Anything goes on these days – loads of coaching, loads of reps, loads of fun.

We’ll also start introducing 3v3 concepts so you’re ready for…

🏆 Wednesday – Competition Day

This is where you put it all into action.
3v3 games ALL day
Tournament format
Prizes up for grabs
Test what you learned on Monday & Tuesday
Only 5 spaces left

🟠 Thursday – Fundamentals Day

This is your sharpen up day.
We tighten:
Footwork
Finishing
Shooting form
Defence
Decision making
Perfect if you want real improvement before the season ends.

🍕 Friday – Finale Camp (Pizza Day)
Normal camp day but with extra fun and food to finish the week properly.

Only 3 spaces left for Friday.
Why Legends Camp is Different

This isn’t just childcare.

It’s:

Real coaching

Players from different clubs training together
Confidence, independence and love for the game

Six hours of basketball a day is something we simply can’t replicate in weekly sessions.

They will go home tired.

A huge thank you to everyone who has already booked onto February Half Term Basketball Camp 🙌

We’ve now passed 100 bookings already, which is brilliant to see.
Because of the demand, we’ve added extra staff on Wednesday, which means we’ve been able to open up a few more spaces for the 3×3 tournament day 🔥
