Stunning model .du wearing our new shimmer corset dress

This seasons collection colours are inspired by nature and the pigment containing chromataphores which are a result of nanoscopic structural arrangements seen on the surface of insect wings and bird feathers. These crystalline structures appear iridescent which we have tried to imitate by using translucent and shimmer fabrics

Dancing atop a cliff wearing the ’ostara’ goddess gown in white sustainable habotai silk to celebrate Ostara Spring Equinox 🌸

Spring Equinox is a time of balance and awakening. Day and night are of equal length, and light and dark, our inner and outer world are in balance.
Nature is waking up from the winter sleep, and the first flowers like daffodils and crocuses are peeping out

Ostara is a time to connect with nature and tap into the energies of the season, taking time to honor the cycles of life and the rhythms of the earth,
which call to move us out of old patterns of suffering and struggle to align with a higher blueprint, one that allows for more flow, grace and miracle consciousness.

Beneath the manifestation of seasonal change, there is a change in the energy of the earth. These energy patterns affect us whether we are conscious of them or not.

By understanding the flow and direction of that energy, we can move with it, in harmony with it, as true inhabitants of our planet earth: belonging, part of, changing on all levels of our being.

In Chichén Itzá in Mexico, the rising sun of the equinox transforms one edge of the giant pyramid into a blazing serpent, representing the Mayan god Kukulcan

The etymology of the word Ostara comes from an old Proto-Indo-Europan language meaning
“dawn, morning, to shine“

Our Black Recycled Tulle Dress has been featured as part of an editorial for and worn by ♻️🌍

This fabric was created from recycled fishing nets and pre consumer fabric waste helping additionally to remove plastic waste from our oceans 🌊 🎣

Ghost fishing is the prolonged effect of fishing nets that have been abandoned, lost or discarded on the natural habitats of marine species by fishermen.

The main reasons why our oceans are littered with fishing nets are:

Poor maintenance: Many fisheries don’t bother to repair or even clean fishing nets.

No access to recycling and harmful fishing methods: Bottom trawling, an extremely destructive fishing technique, consists in dragging a large, weighted net along the seafloor in order to capture fish more quickly and also trawler fishing

Harmful fishing methods: Bottom trawling, an extremely destructive fishing technique, consists in dragging a large, weighted net along the seafloor in order to capture fish more quickly. This renders fishing nets a short life, which then earns them the chance to also be discarded into the sea.

Happy International Women’s day - here are some (not so) shocking facts! 🍓

Women experience more colours-
Research has found that between men and women, women are able to recognize 25% more colors and shapes.

The top two highest IQs ever recorded in the world belonged to women. Marilyn Vos Savant, an American magazine columnist, playwright, author, and lecturer, was listed in the Guinness Book of World Records for having the highest recorded Intelligence Quotient in the world. Her IQ was recorded at 228.

Among the 7 ancient wonders of the world, 2 of them were created by women. The mausoleum of Halicarnassus was built by Artemisia, queen of Caria. The hanging gardens of Babylon were planted by Semiramis, an Assyrian queen

Heels were introduced to women’s fashion in the 1600s to mimic the men who wore heels as a sign of their masculinity. Soon, men stopped wearing heels, and women have rocked them ever since.

The first computer programmer was a women. Ada Lovelace was the first person to recognize the full potential of a computing machine, i.e., a computer. She was one of the first computer programmers in the world.

Women have been making stunning discoveries and inventions since time immemorial, but they rarely get the credit due to them. Mary Anderson invented the windshield wiper in 1903. Also, it was women who invented disposable diapers, paper bags, non-reflective glass, the foot-pedal trashcan, and the dishwasher.

Shakuntala Devi, also known as the ‘human computer’, found a place in the Guinness Book of World Records in 1982 for performing the fastest mental calculation.

The economic growth of the world has been found to be directly tied to the increasing percentage of educated women.
