Helen Jenkins Designs

Helen Jenkins Designs Helen Jenkins Designs launched in 2011, a few years after graduating from The Arts Institute in Bournemouth with a BA (Hons) Fine Art.

I specialise in free-motion machine embroidery, creating wall hangings, bags and pouches. There are a range of ready made pieces available in my shop or I can custom make a personal, unique commission specific to you or loved one. Based in High Wycombe, I create my work in a garden studio surrounded and inspired by nature. For more information please contact me via this page or email.

What happens next?...so I had an extended break from social media, partly due to lack of content and partly to reset mentally.
After March meet the maker I had run out of inspiration for what to stitch and always intended to post less frequently (I find everyday quite difficult). So told myself I’d leave it until after Easter before I posted again, this would give me time to stitch some more pieces to create content from. As it turned out, it took me a while to settle on what to stitch, I did a few sketches but didn’t feel happy with any of them. I had little sparks of ideas but just could t get the fire going. I began to lose confidence in myself.
Then I returned to work (my other job is in retail so I went back to face to face customer contact, which felt a bit overwhelming even though it was nice to be back) so my time was limited and my mind was elsewhere. Then May hit and my hours were reduced as the high street is struggling. I began to focus on my stitching again and those sparks of ideas have come to life. I now have a theme of work evolving, finally, again.
I’ll begin to share it soon.
