After much thought and excitement for what lies ahead, I have some important news to share 💛
I know this is going to come as a shock to many of you — but please don’t be sad! This is such a positive and exciting step for me.
I will be closing and ceasing the alterations side of my business, as I’ve been offered an incredible opportunity to join an amazing bridal shop as part of their in-house seamstress team. This truly feels like the right next chapter!
I have absolutely loved being so many customers’ go-to seamstress over the years — especially when some of you desperately needed rescuing from botched jobs 😂🙈 Those moments (and transformations!) have honestly meant so much to me.
I will continue creating my much-loved memory bears, animals, cushions and quilts — that side of Little Valley Stitch House is staying very close to my heart. Those with existing memory orders already in place will be contacted to arrange delivery or postage once your items are completed.
All existing fittings will, of course, be honoured. If your fitting is due to take place after April, I will be in touch closer to your appointment date with details of our new address.
We will not be taking in any further alterations after Monday 9th March.
For bridal, bridesmaid or prom alterations, please do still get in touch. If I have availability from May onwards, I will always try my very best to accommodate you. However, I will no longer be taking on everyday alterations due to my new bridal commitments and time constraints.
This is most definitely not goodbye — just goodbye to our current premises and to the alterations side of the business. I have absolutely loved having my own little shop for the past 10 years, but with two young children, it now feels like the right time to focus more on my family while stepping into this wonderful new opportunity.
I am beyond grateful to every single customer, past and present. Without your support, I wouldn’t have built a business that has proudly run for over a decade. We’ve been through so much together — from a preterm baby, ill health, a pandemic and so much more. Through it all, I have stood strong and bounced back for my loyal customers and to show my children that hard work and determination truly do pay off — and it really has.
I am so excited for the future and can’t wait to continue growing the part of the business I love most — creating beautiful memory keepsakes for you and your families.
Thank you, always, for your continued support your seamstress, Amy 🪡🧵
