Why is it I always have a creative block and don't find any inspiration until a few weeks before a deadline?! I'm busy working away in my studio getting ready for a little exhibition of assemblage art in my market mezzanine shop for The Scarborough Fair/Scarborough Art. Called "Self Assembly: Foraged. Found. Boxed." It will run from 4th July until 1st August, open on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays 10am to 4pm.

Lots going on behind the scenes away from the shop this week - working on both some new art and the Wonders of the Wild project. At Cross Lane Hospital we've been doing papier mache, mark making, painting and collage to create a robin and bird eggs.

Getting ready for Coble Market tomorrow - there's fresh stock making its way out ready for the busy day. Here's a little peek into some of the new pieces... yet again it's a real eclectic mix! There's lots more to see in the shop so do pop down, plenty of things that would make quirky Father's Day gifts. Plus, the bunting and signage is out ready for Scarborough Art and The Scarborough Fair starting in July.

Hey folks, I've updated the poster for my assemblage art workshops in July. Theres a new lower price of £25 instead of £30 for the sessions, so they are hopefully a little more affordable for people. The QR code is a new one as I was having problems with the previous, all dates, times and venue are still the same. ✂️🎨🖼️

It's been a creative hub of activity during the art project I'm currently working on. In conjunction with Cross Lane Hospital and Old Parcels Office Artspace, we are making work based on the theme of Wonders of the Wild - culminating in a group exhibition next month. It's so nice to be out and about in the community again, enjoying the process of creating alongside others.

Brooches, badges, pins. Whatever you call them, I've got an eclectic range available. They are one of my most popular items and priced to suit all pockets. My favourite is this Arts and Crafts butterfly, it's been hand made from stainless steel and features brass and copper accents.

I've brought a display cabinet into the shop which is now filled with lots of interesting curios, treasures and collectables. It's worth popping in and having a look to see if anything takes your fancy. 🧐🪎🏷️
