New 2026 Whip Rule

Important Rule Update for Working Hunter Pony and Working Sports Pony Competitors!

From 1st January 2026, only baton whips will be permitted in BSPS Working Hunter Pony and Working Sports Pony classes.

❤️14 Life Lessons Learned from Pony Books 📚🐴

1. There’s always room for a new pony.
2. If you don't have a pony today, you'll definitely have one by the end of the week.
3. You will be best friends with your pony immediately, no questions asked.
4. Your pony will listen attentively and understand every word you say.
5. You must gallop ba****ck through a large field at least three times a week.
6. Your pony will stick with you through thick and thin, even if you drop the reins, lose your stirrups or fall off at a tricky jump.
7. Every pony is a hero and has a heart of gold no matter how many times he bucks you off.
8. Falling off is only a temporary inconvenience before you hop back on without any injury or loss of confidence.
9. You’re pretty sure you could train any horse or pony in a week.
10. Any pony can escape out of any stable, field or paddock when they want to. Especially Shetlands.
11. Ponies can jump over any size obstacle, cross rivers, and rescue you from danger whenever needed.
12. Kids with old but well oiled tack and hand-me-down jodhpurs have the best relationships with their ponies.
13. You can win a big competition even if you’re a beginner, because you've got the best pony in the world.
14. Hard work pays off.
