Walsall & Wonderful

We think Walsall is pretty Wonderful.
From starting as a small market town, becoming a centre of the industrial revolution and still creating leather goods for the royal family, including the Queens handbags.

It is reported that Walsall was first recorded as "Walh halh", meaning "valley of the Welsh speakers". During the time of Queen Elizabeth I when she visited, it was known as Walshale.

We are so proud of Pelsall.
This little village was first mentioned 994 when it was known as ‘Peolshalh’ which means the land between two streams belonging to Peol.

Did you know that to enter or leave Pelsall you have to go over water?

In more recent history Pelsall has been a mining village and the host to the first ever Blind Date wedding, with an appearance from the one and only Cilla Black.
