My last bespoke project for 2021, I had the most amazing bride who looked absolutely beautiful in her Maroccain washed silk dress with a twist knot front which is completely bias cut 😍
This dress was an experience, working with bias cut pieces require a lot of attention (and about 4/5 fittings in final fabric :/ )
With said experience and taking a little too much on in recent months, I have inherently made myself quite sick and I’m finally listening to doctors orders and won’t be taking on any more projects until the new year- possibly longer. As someone with high functioning anxiety, I never quite know when to say no to taking on more work and then I found my body saying no for me.
I will be taking this time out to think about the brand as it was going in a direction that I didn’t want it to go in, and now that I no longer have a studio, I can do exactly that.
It’s taken me a fair few weeks to accept “going backwards” but it is what it is. 2021, you’ve thrown a few too many balls, I’ll be coming back with a bat in due course 🏏
