Well this is exciting. A parcel from Osaka with I hope some splendid vintage things in it. I enjoy the labels on the parcel. They are so graphic and tell it’s journey. Overland and sea for 3 months till it arrives at my door. I had to add the cryptic “Goods not fulfil the conditions laid down in Article 29 of the Treaty on the functioning of the European Union”. Boris didn’t write this on the side of his bus. handfans

Many years ago I read an article from a girl who had inherited her grandmother’s wedding kimono and obi. One day she decided to mend the obi. As she unpicked the brocade she found this poem which unknown to her grandmother her grandfather had written and placed inside the obi.
“ Since encountering my beloved
While I dozed
I have begun to feel
That it is DREAMS and not reality
On which I can rely”

Each stole is hand made in London, from velvet that is specially crushed for us as the last remaining velvet mill in the country. Each stole us edged with amethyst beads.
Swathed in luxury our uncertain English weather won’t catch you out.

Well here we go again. These last two years have been a bit hard and I was about to give up on making beautiful things. But what else can we do but live for beauty.
