Once Upon a Vision

Once Upon a Vision In my shop you will find all sorts of items some things new or I have given it a bit of a clean up or have transformed it into a thing of beauty. Can I help?

A little bit of imagination and vision and my old drab boring furniture looked pretty again...

The Situation

A Single mum, increasing bills, new shoes, new clothes, after school clubs, swimming lessons, school trips and a bare flat and the money tree at the bottom of the garden that refused to blossom ahhhhhhhh!!! I couldn't afford to go out and spend hundreds of pounds on new furniture so I tur

ned my boring second, third hand, or so I like to call "vintage" furniture into a thing of beauty. The Inspiration and the beginning

I got an idea whilst visiting my friends craft shop in Hampshire. My daughter loved to go there and paint and actually so did I. Whilst I was there I saw people of all ages getting their hands messy with decoupage it looked fun and they had a smile on their face whilst doing it. So the next time I went there I took some old sheet music and an old Shakespeare book, brought one of their cardboard hearts and got my hands dirty. Once I understood what i was doing and to be honest it wasn't that hard I went home and got started on a mirror that I was painting to make look like it wasn't an old wardrobe door and started covering with old sheet music... Well now it has spiralled from old wardrobe doors to jam jars, from buttons to old pieces of jewellery and finally well made good quality pieces of "basic wardrobe essentials" to the classic vintage item I simply could not leave in the boot of someones car. The Push

Another arty friend of mine who makes Jewellery (check out Fizzy Knots) showed me what she has been up to whilst looking after her football team of boys. I was so impressed with the reaction she got I had to join in the madness so hear I am showing off my work in the hope that someone falls in love with what I have created. There will probably be no consistency from my work as I don't normally plan to go out and buy unloved items they kind of jump in my boot of my car and sneak into my flat begging me to love them again. Ok thats not strictly true but if I see a piece of furniture and a vision comes then yes it ends up in my home waiting to be made beautiful once again. Please ask questions and if you have any requests or pieces that you would like to be made beautiful again then please let me know. Paying for Art

My pricing reflects the cost of the cost of materials and a small amount for my time. Thank you for taking the time to read my blurb and if you have any questions please feel free in contacting me. Emma xx
