I had the pleasure of leading a hands-on cooking workshop with 34 primary school pupils, ranging from Reception to Year 6. Each child independently kneaded, stretched, and shaped their own pizza dough before adding tomato sauce and a generous topping of cheese.
The pizzas were baked and lightly cooled before the children enjoyed them as a well-earned snack. For many, this was their first experience of cooking — and even of making pizza from scratch. The session was filled with enthusiasm, creativity, and a real sense of achievement, with every child proudly enjoying their own handmade mini cheese pizza.
