Today’s prompt is I am not usually found doing small crochet items. We won’t talk about that time I made 200 pairs of earrings for Lucy & Yak, Frasers Designer Outlet Leeds I had genuinely forgotten about that until I came to write this. My colour theme? Bright and clashing! 💥

I LOVE a hot pink, I’m obsessed with oranges, and honestly… the brighter and more unexpected the combination, the better! 🩷🧡💛

But one of my favourite things about crochet is how adding just one new row can completely change the feeling of a project. A colour you weren’t sure about suddenly makes everything else pop, or a new shade takes it in a totally different direction.

That little bit of colour magic is one of the reasons I never get bored of making! 🧶✨ 🙋

Today’s prompt is Favourite Make… and there was absolutely no competition for me! 💕

It has to be my Higgledy Hexi Cardigan. 🌈🧶

I love everything about this cardigan — the colours, the hexagons, the slightly wonky higgledy-piggledy feel and, most importantly, the fact that I designed it myself! 🥰

There’s something extra special about wearing something you’ve imagined, designed and then actually brought to life with a hook and some yarn.

It’s definitely one of those makes that I’ll never get bored of wearing — and I’m pretty sure have several in the wip basket too! 😂

It’s Day 3 of and today we want to see your stash! 🧶✨

I stock such a huge selection of yarn, colours, textures and crafty goodies that I spend my days surrounded by things I absolutely need to crochet with.

“Those colours would make a gorgeous blanket…”
“Ooooh, I could make a cardigan with that…”
“That yarn is too pretty to sell…” 👀

You can see where this is going. 😂

My stash is basically a very carefully curated collection of things I’m supposed to be selling… but secretly want to keep. 🤣🧶🌈

Hi Yarn Friends! 👋🏻🧶

How is it September already!! I am not sure where the year has gone. I have not posted very consistently but I love the focus of Yarn Friends Rock to prompt me, hopefully it will get me back into a better routine.
I also love the opportunity for the yarn community to connect, share what we’re making, find our people and, most importantly, have a bit of fun along the way. 🥰

I’m a HUGE lover of yarn, crochet, colour and all things crafty. 🌈🧶 And I genuinely believe that one of the best things about making is the people you meet along the way.
