Yesterday on the floor of parliament, I answered questions from Hon Edem Agbana and Hon Lawrence Agyinsam on behalf on my Minister Hon Eric Opoku. Questions about maize/rice glut to Nkokonkitinkiti as well how much the finance ministry has released so far to the Ministry of Agriculture to tackle the Food glut were asked.

1. I have paid the dstv for tv viewing centers across Ayawaso west.
2. Free giant screen at Abelemkpe Astro Turf park for all Ghana matches.
3. Free giant screen at Okponlgo for all World Cup matches.
4. Free Giant screen at Mempasem for all Ghana Matches
5. Free Giant screen at Airport residential area for all Ghana matches
6. Free Giant screen at West legon for all Ghana matches.
7. Free Giant screen at Dzorwulu for all Ghana matches.

I have also engaged 13 Kenkey sellers across the constituency to provide free meals( Kenkey and Ghana fish) for those coming to watch the Ghana matches. Go Ghana Go!!!

I joined the Mp for Okaikoi North Hon Theresa Awuni on Sunday to address a youth group that had blocked the bridge around Kisseman. That bridge is between Ayawaso West, Okaikoi North and Dome Kwabenya. We assured them that the bridge will be reconstructed to avoid perennial flooding. Special thanks to the Min of Works and Housing, Interior and Roads and Highways for listening to us.

I want to personally sponsor 20 young farmers who want to do dry season Tomato farming this year.
1. Your land should be cleared and ready by September.
2. Your minimum land size should be 2 acres and maximum 20 acres.
3. The support will be input based. Tractor services, fertilizer, seeds, agricultural extension services, weeds and pests control, irrigation systems and ready market for the tomatoes.

This is a personal pilot project and hopefully we can collectively cultivate over 400 acres of tomatoes this year during the dry season. Together let’s make this work.
