Angel Bean I’m Aimee, owner and creator at Angel Bean in Greece. We now have 3 wonderful children and I am a stay at home mom.

I was a middle school teacher from New York, but moved to the island of Crete after meeting my husband here. The inspiration for my shop came from my two boys, Angelo and Dino (but we call him Bean). They are the reason I dusted off my sewing machine in an attempt to make some cloth diapers. My middle son has really sensitive skin and disposable diapers are really irritating for him, so I took the

plunge into cloth and never looked back. After having my last baby, I just knew I would use cloth with him and wanted to try to make them myself. I received so many compliments from friends and family and they encouraged me to start a business sewing diapers. And of course it helps that my husband is really supportive of using cloth with our boys (and he even changes diapers!). Now you are probably wondering why my other child is not included in that name, well Sofia is the heart in the middle. She is my oldest and my one and only girl and never stops making me laugh. I know my kids won’t be wearing diapers forever, and not everyone has the same love for cloth as I do, so I am expanding my sewing skills a bit. I have recently started making baby rag quilts, and my daughter loves to help me. Our favorite part is picking out all the fabric. I love mixing and matching fabric and watching it turn into a beautiful blanket, and she loves to hand me all the squares to sew them together. And in the end, I love to hear my daughter tell me how beautiful my blanket is, even though I know she is a little biased :). I hope in the future to be able to add more handmade things to my shop, so keep checking back.

Haven't been on here in a while, busy busy busy, isn't everyone at the end of the school year :) Anyway, lots of sewing going on tonight, big custom order.

Ok so I made 4 doggie diapers for a trial run...he is wearing the first one, but it needed a little tweeking....so tomorrow I will have a full photo shoot of him in all the ones I have made so far and see which fit the best and stick to that pattern :) They are fleece outside, with a wetzone layer of PUL and cotton velour on the inside (this dog is spoiled LOL!!)

Tonight I am going to be making a new type of cloth diaper....ones for a little pup!! We rescued a little miniature pinscher that dragged himself to our house after an accident. He is paralyzed from him midsection back to his hindlegs and keeps having toilet accidents since he can't feel anything.
