The Opposition Leader, Mohamed Arzzudin "Az," continues to operate his office in a reckless manner, turning it into a propaganda machine. His Excellency the President acquired the lands through the proper legal framework and has consistently led by example in promoting agriculture and national development.

Blackmail is a criminal offence, and we call on the Guyana Police Force to thoroughly investigate these allegations and take appropriate legal action against anyone found to have engaged in blackmailing. President Irfaan Ali

The People’s Progressive Party (PPP) extends its deepest condolences on the passing of Jai Narine "Don" Singh, a dedicated party activist and a People’s Progressive Party Civic (PPP/C) Councillor on the Georgetown Mayor and City Council.

Mr Singh served the Party and the people of Georgetown with commitment and humility.
His passing is a significant loss not only to his family and loved ones, but also to the Party and the wider Georgetown community.

The PPP expresses its sincere sympathies to his family, friends, fellow councillors and all those who had the privilege of knowing and working alongside him during this difficult time.

May his soul rest in eternal peace.
