Coaxing a baby to sleep is not an easy task. A baby is like an inexhaustible amount of energy, especially at night.
Parents can refer to the following 5 tips to make it easier for newborns to fall asleep:
1. Get to know your baby
Novice parents are always nervous. They often go to Google or ask other relatives and friends, such as letting the baby sleep more or keeping the baby from sleeping during the day, so it will be easier to fall asleep at night, etc.
If you receive too much information, you will get confused. Please try to trust yourself, adjust your baby's bedtime according to your child's characteristics, and don't just listen to others' opinions.
2. Use sleep props
Use different items to make it easier for your baby to fall asleep, such as pacifiers, towels, plush toys, etc. If your baby needs to be comforted by the parents to fall asleep, you can try to gradually reduce the comfort time, and at the same time add the plush doll to accompany the child to sleep, so that your baby can gradually adapt.
3. Sleep with your baby whenever possible
A Harvard study found that sharing a room with an adult during the first six months of life can reduce the risk of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS).
4. Getting ready for bed
There are several basic factors for good sleep:
First, whether the temperature of the room comfortable? Is there noise interference?
Secondly, before going to bed, you should not be too excited or overstimulated, such as playing too excited and too much.
Third, give appropriate naps during the day according to the child's age and biological clock.
5. Parents take care of themselves
Parents also need time off. Occasionally go out for a walk, have dinner, or go for a cup of coffee.
Let your parent or babysitter take care of the kids for an evening. Then you have time to relax.
