THEi Fashion Show 2022 – Result Announcement

The 7th Graduation Fashion Show of BA (Hons) in Fashion Design has been successfully held at Chai Wan Campus tonight. 20 students have showcased their innovative designs and exquisite craftsmanship to the judges and audience. Congratulations to the following awardees:

THEi’s 7th Graduation Fashion Show, the annual showcase of our final year students’ outstanding works is on tonight at 7:30pm at 1/F Hall, THEi Chai Wan Campus, please join us!
We are going to share the show’s behind-the-scenes video and post the winning collections, please check the postings from us throughout the day!

THEi’s Graduation Fashion Show 2022 will be held on 29th July, 2022 (Fri) at THEi Chai Wan Campus (by invitation only). A total of 20 finalists from our graduating class will showcase their creative works in this show.

2022年THEi 時裝設計學士學位課程與文化葫蘆繼續用時裝說故事。今年的設計主題為「我們的公屋故事」，靈感來自香港公營房屋。學生們遊走各大小屋邨發掘靈感，並將香港獨有的屋邨文化及建築風格運用在時裝上，從而向大眾市民推廣本土特色。

6套學生作品現於以下地點展出，展覽詳情如下：

「 尚無境 織未來 」2022 針織新銳設計師大賽圍繞新澳2023-2024秋冬流行趨勢主題展開，旨在為全球學生設計人才搭建交流的平台，讓更多人了解羊毛羊絨紗線的天然環保及卓越性能，共同織造低碳健康的美好未來。大賽提供贊助及與針織廠合作的機會，獎項還包括羊絨之旅，讓學生和老師探索理解這種珍貴的天然材料。大賽現正接受報名，截止日期為2022年6月15日。

Based on the latest AUTUMN WINTER 2023-2024 trends from Xinao, “KNIT FOR NEXT 2022” aims to build a platform for fashion design students around the world to share their thoughts. We focus on enhancing students’ awareness and understanding of the natural environmental protection and excellent performance of wool and cashmere yarn through this competition.
Students can have the chance to cooperate with manufacturers and experience the softness and luxury of wool and cashmere. Awards include cashmere tours, allowing students and teachers to explore and understand this precious natural material.
Closing date : 15th June, 2022.

Lorraine Tam, 2018 graduate of Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong, Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Fashion Design is the founder of MOODLABBYLORRAINE.
Within the year of study, she was shortlisted as the finalist of Thei 2018 graduation show, and the Hong Kong Young Designers’ Contest 2018. She was also the Champion of Cotton Design Competition in 2016 and Regional Champion of International Design Competition organised by the Society of Dyers and Colourists in 2018. Right now, Lorraine is also a member of Design Incubation Programme .With passion and interest in menswear, Lorraine is specialized in men’s ready to wear. She pays special efforts in colour and textures, embroideries and epic colour combinations are her main design features. Lorraine has started her new chapter of career by starting her online shop MOOD LAB BY LORRAINE, designing colourful socks with stories behind and launching mini collections.

Lorraine Tam 畢業於香港科技及高等教育學院，時裝設計文學士（榮譽）學位， 是MOODLAB BYLORRAINE創始人。在2018年，她先後入圍了Thei畢業秀和香港青年時裝設計家創作表演賽, 亦是2016年棉花設計比賽冠軍和染料及色彩師學會(英國) 國際設計比賽香港區冠軍, 现在Lorraine是設計創業培育計劃 (DIP) 成員. 憑藉對男裝的熱情和興趣，Lorraine專注於男裝成衣, 她特別注重色彩和質感，刺繡和搶眼色彩組合是她的主要設計特色。通過開設她的網上商店MOOD LABBYLORRAINE, Lorraine展開了職業生涯的新篇章，主要設計鮮艷有故事性的襪子以及推出迷你時裝系列。
