STUDIOUS is an innovative select store where you can find every brand-new Tokyo designer's brands both in our retail and online stores. In 2007, Masato Tani(CEO) starts STUDIOUS as a new business of his former company. When he was a new graduate in the firm, he reconstructed an unprofitable project. In his second year, he realized his conception of the select shop that specialized in Tokyo desig
ner’s brands. As a result, it was the beginning of our company, and he established STUDIOUS Co., Ltd. In 2010, we expanded our business all over Japan. At the same time, we focused on e-commerse by opening a new store in ZOZOTOWN in 2011, which is one of the biggest online fashion markets in Japan. In 2012, we opened our first women’s flagship store in Shibuya. Since we started from menswear, this was the milestone of our company which means the beginning of womenswear business on a full-scale. In 2014, we started our new label STUDIOUS TOKYO, which only selects the international Japanese brands such as ISSEI MIYAKE, Yohji Yamamoto, and opened the conceptual store in Jinnann(Shibuya). In 2015, our company listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Mothers. We achieved the new record of the fastest listing(8 years since founding) in fashion industry, and our CEO Tani also achieved one of his dreams that became a youngest leader of a public fashion company in Japan. Now we have 22 retail and 5 online stores in Japan, and provides our values to the domestic customers. First, the number of the Japanese brands we have are the the highest in our country. That is, we are literally the top select shop of the Japanese brands.
Second, we create original products, which is all made in Japan. Even though these products have distinctly high quality and excellent design, we keep its price quite reasonable by our radical cost control. Third, we collaborate with the finest Japanese brands such as UNDERCOVER, PORTER, and make some exclusive items with them. In 2017, we will open the first global flagship shop at last in Fashion Walk in Hong Kong.
