He writes his lyrics in jamaican ‘patois’ in the name of consciousness, oneness and love. itual melodies and mantras. In 2012 he was one of the former of the band called Nauro city. The single called “Memories” stood firm at the top lists of hungarian radio and television charts. From 2014- 2016 he was the frontline raggaman in the band called Budabash Flow. He ’s shared the mic with such artists and soundsystems as Benjie, Milli Chab, Antonia Vai, Mc Fedora, Janet G , Dér Heni, Kállay Saunders András, DSP, El Bago, G Silk, Shaka Black, Herbert shaw, Mr Brad Vee Johnson, Dj Hanzee, Vida G, Paso soundsystem, Engineer Soud, Tribal Soul sound , Wakablack, RasTacsko, Tilos radio robur soundsystem and so on.. Now he formed his solo band and he also coorporates with hungarian and international soundsystems, producers and djs. In the spring of 2017 he debutes with two single tracks called “Creator’s Sons” and “Tie and jakcet ft. Lipi brown(Paso)”
Improvisation, street music, open mic jam sessions stand really close to him, that’s why you can meet him randomly on several stages in the mystical nightlife of Budapest. His main inspiration is faith in the power of music, consciouss lyrical metaphores, experimental sounds based on fusions. In 2017 he’s going to come with his second solo album with extraordinary featurings like budhist music mixed with rastafari chants and many more revolutionary musical experiments. Bottah Rankin 2009-ben kezdte pályafutását a Jamup! Jamaikai ‘patois’ nyelven írja szövegeit, a tudatosság, az egység, a szeretet jegyében. Fő zenei irányvonal az autentikus reggae, dub, hip-hop, dancehall, de az elektronikus műfajok is közel állnak hozzá, mint a trance, drum and bass, afro, tribal műfajok. Fő meghatározói az oldschool jamaikai rub a dub rímképek , melyek mélyen spirituális melódiáival, mantráivál keverednek. 2012-ben megalapította a Nauro city zenekart, melynek “Memories” című száma a rádiós és televíziós top listák első helyén állt. Ezzel egy időben megjelent első solo lemeze. 2014-2016ig a Budabash Flow zenekar frontembereként ténykedett. Olyan előadókkal, soundsystemekkel mozgott egy színpadon, mint Benjie, Milli Chab, Antonia Vai, Mc Fedora, Janet G ,Dér Heni, Kállay Saunders András, DSP, El Bago, G Silk, Herbert shaw, Shaka Black, Mr Brad Vee Johnson, Dj Hanzee, Vida G, Paso soundsystem, Engineer Soud, Tribal Soul sound , Wakablack, RasTacsko, Chilly team, Tilos radio robur soundsystem, stb.. Jelenleg saját zenekarával kezdett koncertezni, emellett soundsystemekkel, producerekkel, dj-kel kooperál Magyarországon és külföldön egyaránt. 2017 tavaszán a Creator’s Sons és a Tie and Jacket ft. Lipi Brown(Paso) című számokkal debütál. Az improvizáció, utcazene, open mic jam session világa is közel áll hozzá, így gyakran előfordul véletlenszerűen a budapesti éjszaka különböző színterein. A zene erejébe vetett hit, tudatos lírai metaforák, fúzionális hangzásvilág jellemzi zenéjét és munkásságát. 2017-ben jelenik meg második solo lemeze, rendhagyó feat-ekkel mint pl.: a buddhista zene ötvözése a rastafari imákkal és sok más újító kezdeményezéssel. Fontosnak tartja a zene és a modern képzőművészet , s egyéb művészeti ágak találkozását, így összművészeti performanszokban is hallhatjuk őt. (BPM Ocean project, FMK21 project)
