Calling all Lifestyle participants and artists - past and present! 🎨✨

As part of celebrations to mark our 35th anniversary we are gearing up for a very special Exhibition on Saturday June 20th in St Peter’s Hall, Peter Street, Drogheda, and we’d love you to be part of it.

Over the years, we've seen some incredible art and crafts created here at Lifestyle — pieces full of creativity and personality — and now it’s time to bring them back into the spotlight! Whether it’s painting, crochet,knitting patchwork, lacemaking,ceramics, marquetry, poetry or something very unique, we’d be delighted to include your work in this celebration.

This exhibition is shaping up to be a vibrant showcase of talent, community and shared history — a chance to reconnect, reminisce and see just how far everyone has come.

Your involvement will help make the exhibition really special! If you’d like to take part, and have your work included, please get in touch and let us know what you’d like to exhibit.

Children and young people across County Louth are being invited to take part in Cruinniú na nÓg 2026, with more than 30 free events planned across Ardee, Carlingford, Drogheda, Dundalk, Dunleer, and Lordship.

The programme will feature a wide range of activities including music, storytelling, crafts, performance, and visual arts for young people up to 18 years of age.

Cruinniú na nÓg takes place on Saturday, June 6.

I just want to give a shout out to all in Millmount Craft Quarter.
After our Walk and Talk tour I visited some of the crafters in Millmount. It is such a hive of creativity and a great place to visit and see the artists in action. Thanks to Maureen Finn@Finn ceramics who is currently running Ceramic classes in Lifestyle, to Deirdre McCullough Portrait Artist, Edmund McNulty Knitwear Desiger and Revamped Furniture and Home for showing off some of their work to me. (see photos attached). I also want to thank Brendan from Drogheda Museum for showing me around the museum and I hope to organise at trip up soon for our Participants.

We enjoyed a fantastic morning on our Community Walk on Friday with local historian Brendan Matthews! ☀️👣

Starting at the Buttergate, we explored some of Drogheda’s most fascinating historical spots in a walking tour that included The Bullring, the South Quay and The Dale. Then it was a quick march up St. Patrick's Well steps to St Mary’s Graveyard, followed by a pit stop at Curry's Hill, before finishing up in the historic courtyard at Millmount Museum.

Along the way Brendan shared lots of brilliant stories, facts, and hidden pieces of local history that really helped bring the story of the town to life for everyone who joined us. It was lovely to see such a great turnout and so many friendly faces enjoying the walk, the chats, and the fresh air together.

A big thank you to Brendan for such an engaging and informative tour, and thanks also to everyone who came along and made it such an enjoyable community event for all involved. ❤️

✨ Today marked the beautiful launch of our Creative Ireland Events at the breathtaking Ardgillan Castle ✨

What a magical day spent with Aga Hutcheson – The Wizard of Creation – and the wonderful ladies from Lifestyle Development. 💫

Surrounded by the beauty of nature and the stunning gardens of Ardgillan Castle, creativity truly came alive as we transformed simple jars into glowing lanterns using delicate flowers, herbs,natural elements, ribbons, and soft tealights. 🌿🕯️

There was time to wander, connect, laugh, and soak in the peaceful surroundings while enjoying artisan coffee, tea, and delicious sandwiches together.

A perfect blend of creativity, friendship, sustainability, and a little touch of magic. ✨

A heartfelt thank you to Creative Ireland Louth,Louth Art officer and Age Friendly Louth for funding and supporting this special project.

We can’t wait to share more from our Sustainable Art journey with you all… 💚
