Upcyling a vintage shade with hand me down fabric (clothing item) & hand stitched.
Trial and error, learn as you go.
Having looked for a colourful shade and everything being so neutral, decided to have a go!
My Mum used to say....
necessity is the Mother of invention ❤

I am delighted that my piece ' Life is Just a Bowl of Cherries' will be shown in 'What is a Stitch?' an exciting exhibition at The Sunbury Embroidery Gallery, Sunbury-on-Thames this Autumn. The exhibition runs from 5th September to 15th October 2017. The work shown is a selection from the unique and personal collection of Diana Springall. Diana will also be giving a talk on Thursday 28th September 7pm at The Orangery, Squires Nursery, Shepperton.
