There is something special about a Christmas market that cannot quite be recreated online.
The lights, the conversations, the smell of festive treats, and the excitement of people searching for something beautiful to take home all create an atmosphere of their own. For Cashmere Knot, being part of the Athenry Christmas Market 2025 was a wonderful opportunity to experience that atmosphere while meeting customers face to face and sharing our love of Cashmere, Pashmina and timeless winter accessories.
Bringing Cashmere Knot to Athenry
For us, the Athenry Christmas Market was about much more than setting up a stall and displaying products. It was an opportunity to introduce people to Cashmere Knot in a more personal way.
Our stall was carefully arranged with a selection of winter favourites, including soft Cashmere scarves and mufflers, elegant Pashmina stoles and shawls, fur caps and leather gloves. We wanted visitors to be able to do something that online shopping cannot offer in quite the same way: touch the fabrics, feel their softness, compare colours and textures, and discover which pieces suited them best.
The response was incredibly encouraging.
People stopped to browse, ask questions and explore the collection. Some visitors were already familiar with Cashmere, while others were discovering the distinctive softness and warmth of these luxury fibres for the first time.
The Beauty of Experiencing Cashmere in Person
One of the most rewarding parts of the day was watching customers experience the products for themselves.
A photograph can show the colour and design of a scarf, but it cannot fully communicate how a soft Cashmere piece feels in your hands or how naturally a Pashmina stole falls around the shoulders.
Visitors took their time looking through the collection, discussing colours and styles and learning more about the different pieces. The conversations made the market feel less like a traditional shopping experience and more like an opportunity to share ideas about winter style, gifting and caring for quality accessories.
That personal connection is something we value enormously at Cashmere Knot.
